Culture

We see ourselves as mediators between east and west. Through facilitating cultural projects that allow dialogue between artists and thinkers, clearing misconceptions and misunderstandings often presented by the media. We aim to achieve this through: partnering with cultural institutions, conducting symposiums, working on translation projects and helping young artists to travel abroad and showcase their work and talent. Stay tuned for our cultural activities.

Philosophy Cafe

Earlier this year, we launched our philosophy cafe with conjunction with the ÖKF. Philosophy cafe is a place, where lovers of free thinking and discourse, discuss daily problems of our lives and ask questions about life and our existence in it. Our philosophy cafe has been a true joy, where participants from various backgrounds and cultures came together to discuss interesting topics. With that we spark a cultural dialogue between the Egyptian/Arab culture and the European culture. Now our philosophy cafe has been online, and has gathered followers from all over the world. So stay tuned for our latest updates and follow us closely.

ÄDK Teaching Diploma

The art of teaching is something we have mastered throughout the long years of working in this field. We do believe that for someone to teach German, he needs more than a good command of the German language.A knowledge into the techniques and art of teaching and its methodologies, are what makes unique teachers distinct.

Accreditation

2019 the ÄDK achieved the third accreditation in a row by the Goethe-Institute. This accreditation takes place after a sophisticated audit visit once every 3 years. Since its establishment in 1998 the ÄDK is a close partner of the Goethe Institute. In 2000 the ÄDK became an officially contract partner and in 2010 the first accredited partner of the Goethe Institute in the Egypt and the MENA Region. Before the accreditation, not only the quality of the teaching, but also the course organization, information and advertising policy, customer satisfaction and equipment are checked during an audit visit.

The “Goethe Seal” is an external sign of membership in the worldwide network of the partners of the Goethe-Institute, which includes 100 partners. ÄDK is partner Nr. 13 in this international network. The “Goethe Seal” guarantees a high quality of the language course program, technically and linguistically good qualified teachers and an appropriate infrastructure.
